Popular DJ from Odisha Akshaya Maharana, who was found hanging at his Kharvela Nagar residence in Bhubaneswar on Saturday night, the post-mortem report revealed on Tuesday that the popular DJ died of asphyxiation.
According to reports, the police have received his call records report facilitating the ongoing investigation into his death.
Since a case has been filed under Sections 306 (abetment of suicide) and 34 (crime done by several persons with a common intention), investigation is on to identify the abetter.
While all chats among the two have reportedly been deleted, it is being said he had missed a video call made by his girlfriend on that day. He had also made the last call to her. He was reportedly under mental stress for the last 15 days having been allegedly slapped by her. He had also transferred Rs 15,000 to her account and was planning to buy a scooty for her, sources said.
Azex’s best friend Rahul had earlier blamed his death on a love triangle. He alleged that Azex’s girlfriend was in a relationship with another man and they were blackmailing him. But the video, which was allegedly being used to blackmail him, is yet to be traced.
However, the exact reason behind the extreme step taken by DJ Azex is yet to be ascertained, her family members have blamed her girlfriend and her close friend for her death.
Sources further said that he committed suicide by hanging from a bedsheet in his house in Kharavel Nagar area of Bhubaneswar. According to his family members, Azex was seen inside his room when the city witnessed a thunderstorm last evening. When he did not come for a long time, family members came to inquire about him around 10 pm, and found his door closed.
When he did not answer to their calls they broke open the door and found him hanging. The family members took him to a private hospital immediately. But, he has declared brought dead by the attending doctor in the hospital.
Ajax has been working as a DJ for almost ten years. He has more than 90 thousand followers on Instagram. His body is kept in the Capital Hospital mortuary for autopsy. The police seized the mobile phone and are investigating the incident.
