A wet weekend is in store for parts of Odisha regional with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast moderate-to-heavy rainfall at many places in Odisha from Thursday due to fresh western disturbances.
Some places of Odisha will receive rainfall along with thunderstorms on 25th March due to the upcoming Western disturbance. Some places of the interior and coastal Odisha will be affected by this upcoming Western disturbance on March 25 and 26.
Odisha received rainfall with hailstorms owing to the western disturbances during the past few days. However, the effect of the western disturbance has decreased since Wednesday resulting in an increase in day temperature by 2°C to 3°C.
Meanwhile, the IMD’s forecast of another western disturbance has left the farmers in the state. This has been a huge blow to the farmers as crops and vegetables which were ready for harvest have been completely washed away in the torrential rain.
While the farmers are under severe mental stress due to the loss, the news of another western disturbance has added to their woes.
