The regional centre of the Indian Meteorological Department, Bhubaneswar on Monday has issued thunderstorm warning for several districts of Odisha.
According to the MeT, some places of the districts including Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj will receive rain along with thunder and lightning.
The IMD has forecast that the wind speed in the above-mentioned districts will be around 30kmph to 40 kmph.
Maximum rainfall of 28 mm was recorded in Nayagarh district, 20 mm in Bhavanipatna and 12 mm in Daringabadi in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, another western disturbance is likely to form on March 30 bringing more rain.
